- There was no relegation the previous season as the league was increased from 10 teams to 12 teams. Lisburn Distillery and Institute were promoted from the First Division as Champions and Runner-up.

- There was to be another increase the next season as the league increased again from 12 to 16 teams. The top FOUR sides in the First Division would be automatically be promoted.

- As we finished bottom of the table, we had to play a two-legged playoff against the 5th placed team from the First Division (Bangor) for a place in the newly named Irish Premier League.
